My experience prior to my public accounting career was varied. I began as a certified Macintosh and Compaq computer technician. From that venture, I acquired valuable knowledge of both computer software and hardware.

After accepting a year internship with the Xerox Copy Company in Tampa, Florida, where I learned the “ins and outs” of the company, I wrote training materials and helped implement Xerox’s “going paperless” program.

After Xerox, I returned to Kansas where I joined Altatec Biotechnologies in Manhattan, Kansas, a subsidiary of the Swiss company Camlog Biotechnologies. I worked closely with Drs. Axel Kirsch and R. David Sager gaining experience with many levels of corporate bookkeeping, audits, payroll, tax management services, financial projections and forecasts, finance advising, QuickBooks accounting, cash flow, and budgeting. My last year there was dealing with the merger/acquisition with the Henry Schein Company of the USA, the world’s largest distributor of medical, dental, and veterinary products.

In 2002, we moved to Pratt, Kansas, to be closer to family. When my twin boys turned 14 months, I was hired by Joy (Kahmeyer) Davis at Kahmeyer Accounting Services. During the last 10 years apprenticeship with Joy, I gained more experience with bookkeeping for individuals and businesses, oil and gas revenue and JIBS, and tax preparation.

In October 2014, Baker Accounting started. I serve on many boards and am involved with our community. I am a member of NATP and NSTP.

My husband and I have 4 Boys that are very active so when I am not working , I am spending time with my family.
